Earthfix is committed to leaving the earth better than we found it.

Earthfix started operations in 2016 at its Luscombe site in QLD and later expanded to Stapylton in 2018.

Earthfix is an innovative and entrepreneurial organisation, with grand ambitions to create a circular economy by building more sustainable and cost-effective solutions that deals with one of Earth’s largest environmental issues – food, energy, water and waste.

Our research base design methodology ensures that we deliver the right outcomes for the environment and our customers. Usage of technology in operation management has assured that Earthfix can reduce the cost, improve the delivery process, standardise, improve quality, and focus on customisation, creating value for customers.

We innovate and deliver commercial waste solutions focusing on a more sustainable future.

We implemented and maintained Code Compliant Occupational Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Management Systems that are utilised throughout the company and on all our Projects representing a significant commitment by the company to our goal of Zero Harm and zero waste to landfill.

Our manufacturing facilities are equipped to produce:

  • We recycle vacuum excavation muds into class B recycled water.
  • High-grade topsoil and organic compost for gardening and landscaping.
  • Recycled and screened asphalt and crushed concrete.
  • Recycled Clean Fill.
  • Compactable Fill to different specifications.
  • Concrete Blocks

Our Buy One Give One policy, where we commit a percentage of profit to conservation projects, has helped with our conservation projects. We have received three grants from Land for Wildlife.

We partner with ecologists from Forest Rehabilitation Ecology to help deliver expert ‘Best Practice’ bush regeneration and restoration.

Our overarching aspirations are to create an environment with zero waste to landfill, building a sustainable future for many generations to come.

Our Team

Stephen Orchard

Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Steve is a self-made Entrepreneur who took a humble Sole Trader earthmoving operation in the late 1990’s and created a multi-disciplined group of companies employing 50+ staff that are now leaders in civil construction and industrial scale remediation and recycling solution development and implementation.

A visionary, with a design/inventive capability, Steve has spent a lifetime developing an array of skills, technical capability, infrastructure, resources and networks. He is a well-respected member of the community and a strong family-oriented person.

Steve has paved the way for the civil construction sector to be able to minimise its environmental impact. This includes designing a world-class mud-vac recycling system that recovers and remediates critical water resources from industrial operations using a unique filtration system capable of recycling one hundred million litres of water per year.

An inventor, investor and enthusiastic humanitarian and environmentalist, Steve created Earthfix in 2016 which is a venture focused on impact projects and activities that can have influence. Earthfix operates across three sites in the Southeast of Queensland. Activities range from conservation and site remediation projects to developing horticulture solutions using advanced technologies and creating a Future Farm displaying multiple pathways to sustainability that will provide teaching opportunities for youth and community groups and has a focus on inclusive engagement and multiple stakeholder benefit.

Earthfix and Sniffers Group have recently entered into an arrangement with the Australian Federal Government and Griffith University as both an investment partner, and Steve himself as a Board Member, to form a Co-operative Research Centre focused on delivering significant advancement in the management of plastic waste through commercialisation of robust solutions.

Earthfix is partnering with the Korean Agriculture Technology Promotion Agency (KOAT) and Griffith University to bring impact technology solutions, programmes, and an even greater global reach for the group. Combining Steve’s passion for the environment, operational expertise, and business acumen this partnership can create and deploy real impact solutions and projects in Australia and beyond.
